Chloe Dahlia Jones She recently completed her high school education and has a great college experience ahead of her.
was born Bobby and Marcella Jones Growing up in Statesboro, Georgia, Chloe attended Statesboro High School and was an active member of the National Honor Society and the Association of Future Business Leaders of America.
She is graduating cum laude as part of the class of 2024 and looks forward to attending Mercer University in the fall semester to major in Biochemistry and minor in Neuroscience. During her time at Mercer, she was awarded the Presidential Scholarship, which covers the full cost of tuition for all four years of her undergraduate studies.
In addition to receiving the Presidential Scholarship, Chloe was selected to participate in Mercer University’s prestigious School of Medicine Special Consideration Program, automatically granting her admission to Mercer University School of Medicine upon completion of her bachelor’s degree.
Chloe has a strong interest in pediatric oncology and hopes to one day return to Statesboro to open her own practice.
“I have always been interested in working with children and would like to provide a specialized service in rural communities. The program I have been accepted into focuses on training young doctors who will be practicing in rural communities,” Chloe said when asked about her career interests.
Outside of school, Chloe also serves on the Statesboro Youth Council and served as Junior Mayor for the City of Statesboro in the spring of 2024. During this time, she served as an advocate for other youth in the community, developing strong leadership skills and learning the importance of giving back to her community.
