St. Cloud, Minnesota — Former President Donald Trump and his vice presidential nominee, Senator J.D. Vance, will hold their first joint press conference. Presidential Rally It takes place Saturday night at Herb Brooks Arena in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

The event has drawn crowds from around the state and country, including sisters Kelly and Cassidy Bartz, who drove 3.5 hours from Crookston and camped overnight to be among the first to meet the former president.
“I didn't want to miss this opportunity, especially in my hometown,” Cassidy Bartz said.
For Mayor Dave Kreis, it's a weekend to promote the city and build a historic list of politicians who have visited the city.
“Looking back, Eisenhower was here,” Kreis said, “and John F. Kennedy would have been here, but he was stranded in a snowstorm in Minneapolis and was invited by phone to the 1962 gathering.”
Hotels in the city are already fully booked, and Mandy Cox, who works at the Boulder Tap House, about 3.5 miles east of the arena, said she's brought in extra staff to help out.
“We've doubled our prep list and have some house shifts in place,” Cox said. “All the big managers are on board.”
Vance is also scheduled to appear at a fundraiser in Minneapolis earlier in the day, with admission to the event costing $3,300, and tickets that include a roundtable discussion and photo op with the candidates for up to $50,000.
