Abbott was recently recognized as an industry leader in the Global Child Forum's State of Children's Rights and Business Global Benchmark 2021 for implementing policies and practices that address and protect children's rights.
The Global Child Forum, in collaboration with the Boston Consulting Group, analyzed and ranked 832 companies across all industries, rating their performance in three categories on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest score).
- workplace: Decent work for young workers, parents and carers, and the prevention of child labour.
- market: Marketing and advertising, preventing online fraud and exploitation, and product safety.
- Community and Environment: Access to health, education and social services.
Abbott ranked first in the Medical Devices and Products category with an overall benchmark score of 8.1 out of 10. Abbott's score is approximately three points higher than the overall average benchmark score of 5.4 for all 832 companies ranked in this year's scorecard.
