Houston resident Jeffrey Hildebrand has been named the city's richest person. forbes List reports.
Jeffrey and his wife, Mindy, are reportedly known for their “service to their employees and community,” according to Houston Culture Map.
Hildebrand's estimated net worth in 2023 was a whopping $10.2 billion, making him the 171st richest person in the world.
He previously co-founded Hilcorp in 1990 and later bought out his partners for $500 million.
His 2023 net worth is about $2.7 billion higher than his 2022 net worth of $7.5 billion.
According to CultureMap, the couple previously made headlines for giving each of their 1,381 employees $100,000 in holiday bonuses.
Hildebrandt is followed by Tilman Fertitta, who has a net worth of $8.1 billion.
