Tech mogul Elon Musk stands in his father's shoes
Elon Musk is the founder, chairman, CEO, and chief technology officer of SpaceX. Angel investor, CEO and product architect of Tesla, Inc. Owner and CTO of Twitter. Founder of the Boring Company. Co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI. and Chairman of the Mask Foundation.
He's at the top of the tech world while also dealing with the ups and downs of co-parenting with musician Grimes. Together they share her two children – XÆA-12, 3 years old. and Exa Dark Sideræl Musk (nicknamed “Y”), 19 months.

Co-parenting relationship with Grimes
Grimes and Elon were in a romantic relationship from 2018 to 2021. They still have a parental relationship. Grimes said in a 2022 interview with Vanity Fair that their relationship was “very fluid.” She shared that they still deeply influence each other's lives.

Mask's influence on Grimes' life
Grimes freely admits that Elon is responsible for her transformation over the past five years. “He challenged me a lot. I learned a lot about running my team and about my life. I'm a lot tougher and smarter now than I was before.” She spoke about the positive influence he had on her life.

Grimes adds fun to Musk's life
Masks aren't the only thing affecting Grimes' life. This was a two-way street, she also brought fun and joy into his life and encouraged him to let go. “I try to soften him up and build a family culture,” she said. “And he steals a lot of my memes.”

Children have similar interests as their fathers
In a recent exclusive chat with Wired, Grimes said her children are fascinated by space, just like their father.
In an interview, she gave a heartfelt glimpse into the adventures of children obsessed with celestial bodies. “X knows a lot about Rocket. It's crazy. He knows more about Rocket than I do,” she shared.

Children are already little engineers!
Grimes proudly added that children's interest in space is not temporary. Children are already showing talent in astronomy.
“I had to stop giving him toys because he would get mad if they weren't anatomically correct,” Grimes said. “Sure, he's a little engineer, but his obsession with space is more like, 'Is this good for your health?'”
Their young daughter, Y, is also not far behind her brother. “Yeah, she's a little engineer too.”
