The life of the ultra-wealthy comes with some serious perks, a nanny and former nanny reveal.
They're using TikTok to lift the veil on the reality of au pairing for the ultra-wealthy and highlight the luxurious perks that are part of the role.
They reveal that working holidays on private yachts, flights on private jets, VIP access to theme parks and meals prepared by private chefs can all be done in one day's work.
One example is Ginger Rose Smith, 27, who recently shared a video about her experience working as a nanny for a Middle Eastern royal family during her time in Los Angeles. It taught her “the richest way of living for rich people,” she revealed.
Ginger Rose, who is no longer a nanny, took the job five years ago to support herself while she was doing an unpaid internship in the city. Speaking to MailOnline Travel, Ginger Rose said her VIP access to “some of the most elite shops, events and shows” was one of her biggest perks of the role. Masu. she says: “We go to the Nike store to shop and they literally close the store for us to shop there.”
She reveals that her most luxurious experience was on a trip to the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park with her family. “I got to see how the 1 percent participate in this type of experience,” she said, adding: “We had a personal guide. Ginger added that when she went on the rides at the theme park, other park visitors were not allowed to ride the rides at the same time. “That day was really crazy,” she says.

The meals prepared by the family's private chef were also a plus. “When I went to work in the morning, a private chef asked me what I wanted to eat. There were a million staff coming and going at all times,” she says.
Sami Jean Williams also enjoys chef-prepared meals every day in her role as a nanny. She frequently shares these lunch and dinner videos with her 27,000 followers on TikTok.
Originally from Prince Edward Island, Canada, Sami has spent the past two years working for ultra-wealthy families in the United States, including billionaires among his employers.
Sami, who currently works for a family in Miami, said in the video that part of her work also includes traveling on a private jet, swimming in her family's private pool and vacationing with her family on a private yacht. It is revealed that it is a privilege. “Some families take me on vacation to help out,” she explains.

And luxury travel is a perk equally enjoyed by nanny Valerie Davard, 19, a college student who works as a live-in nanny during the summer. Greece, Florida and Long Beach Island on the east coast of the United States are among the destinations she visited as part of her role.
Describing how wealthy host families travel, she tells MailOnline Travel: “They don't do ordinary travel, it's always superlative…The biggest perk is definitely the endless adventures and events I get to experience.” [my host family] Because they can afford to bring a nanny. ”
She added, “I also get access to limited clubs and country clubs just by being a nanny.”
And the house where she stays as a live-in nanny is fully equipped to provide a luxurious lifestyle. she says: “Wealthy people have access to endless luxury technology and luxurious locations. Valerie, who documented her life as a nanny on TikTok, shared a video of herself enjoying a walk-in shower in her host family's $9m (£7.3m) beach house, which has been viewed almost 40,000 times. She also frequently shares videos of her outfits with her followers on TikTok, from bikinis for the beach to relaxed styles for errands.
Valerie says that while she's working, “we spend most of our travel days exploring together.” [the family’s children], at the pool or beach. She added: “My role as a nanny comes mostly at night when the kids want to go to a theme park or take me somewhere.”
Naturally, this exposure to luxury also applies to nannies hired by A-list stars, reveals TikToker Rachel Davies.
Now a model and content creator, she has worked as a nanny for famous families in the US for several years, telling her followers: “As a celebrity nanny, you get to interact with all kinds of wealthy people.” There is.
In one TikTok video, she reveals how she received gifts such as a Gucci bag from one of her employers, and in another she says that one of the prominent families she worked for “had a lift installed.” “It was a long time ago,” explains the situation. She said that in the US, nannies working for celebrities and big-name clients can earn between $75,000 (£61,000) and $175,000 (£142,000) a year. “They're very well paid, most of the time in six-figure positions,” she admits.
This set salary is not the only financial benefit for this role. “If you live in New York or California, where the cost of living is very high, I tried it with a family who said they would give me a living wage, and that's something a lot of families would provide,” Davies said. Paid time off and 401(k) (retirement savings plans) are also common, she explains.
So how can you become a famous nanny? There are nanny agencies designed specifically for wealthy people, Davies revealed. This includes agencies such as “The Nanny League'' and “Elite Nannies.''
When it comes to interviewing for the role, Davies notes that wealthy families are “really looking for personality” in their nannies. It also helps if you're bilingual, she added.
