What words could be written and what praise could be more appropriate for someone whose life is a divine influence on so many people?
For many people, November 5th of each year seems like an ordinary day in their lives. It doesn't matter to them. They don't look forward to the day or celebrate it with any fanfare.
But not Tunde Afolabi, Nigerian businessman, oil tycoon, and chairman and CEO of AMNI International, an independent indigenous oil and gas exploration and production company.
For him, this day is always worth celebrating, since it means the beginning of his stay on earth.
Fortunately, Afolabi turned 73 this year. For a man of his stature, many would expect him to bang out the drums on special days. But Society Watch concludes that oil industry leaders will not toe the line this time. A source close to the event hinted that Afolabi would rather have a low-key event.
It was further gathered that in addition to organizing special prayers on this occasion, he would like to dedicate his God-given wealth to uplift the poorer sections of society. His life was always about prayer.
One thing is certain to him: the man will be blessed in high heaven today. It should come as no surprise that all manner of praise and condolences were literally showered upon him by those who met him.
Like Colossus, he is head and shoulders above his peers. Some people see him as a kind of sensation. Nevertheless, the influential businessman refused to relax in his comfort zone. Rather, he is ready to take to the skies and conquer the world. Perhaps this is why some describe him as an evolving phenomenon.
