A mysterious tech tycoon is the owner of a £5million “Barbie” superyacht which will wow lucky guests with its 70s-inspired décor.
The distinctive pink catamaran has been brought to life by a luxury yacht designer and even comes with a 54-square-metre salon and velvet carpeting.
The 24.6-metre long aluminium boat looked like something out of a Barbie movie as its pink hull glided across the clear blue waters.
However, the boat's name and owner remain a mystery, with social media users speculating that the boat may be called “Cotton Candy” or “Pink Panther”.
Turkish shipbuilder Vision F Yachts reportedly launched the pink vessel earlier this year, but it was soon snapped up by an international tech entrepreneur.
Accommodations onboard “Pretty in Pink” will accommodate eight guests and five crew members across four cabins.
The starboard hull contains a large master cabin, twin/single guest cabins and a crew quarters.
Meanwhile, the port side hull houses the galley and two luxurious en-suite staterooms at the bow with a crew cabin at the bow.
The striking pink colourway marks a cheerful farewell to the company's 80-class of superyachts, the third generation of which had an all-black exterior.
The décor is reminiscent of the 70s, with plush velvet carpeting, round sofa chairs and integrated lighting.
Features on board continue the pink theme, using a variety of hues ranging from baby pink to dusty pink.
Tasteful fixed furniture was also manufactured in-house, with designer pieces provided by RoveConcepts, Moro, Crate & Barrel, Kravet, Paola Lenti and Farrow & Ball.
A lowering platform at the stern allows easy access to the water, allowing you to take to the ocean with the small onboard jet boat (pink).
However, with a shallow draft of less than one meter, the catamaran itself can navigate shallow waters and reach even remote bays.
The yacht features a flybridge, an external wheelhouse and sunpads for sunbathing.
The sunpads are covered with weather-resistant fabric so you can sit back and relax while soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the panoramic views from the deck.
Equipped with twin Volvo Penta IPS 1050 drives, the VisionF 80 can reach a top speed of 18 knots and has a range of more than 1,800 nautical miles.
Ali Tanir, General Manager of VisionF Yacht, expressed his pleasure in working with various stakeholders on this unique project.
“I'm thrilled to have been involved with this project from the delivery stage. She's truly one of a kind,” he said.
“Pretty In Pink” marks the culmination of the Vision F80 series, but VisionF Yachts is already looking to the future.
Three units of the new VisionF 82 Series are currently under construction and are due to be launched in winter 2023/2024.
These ships promise to further build on the tradition of innovation and individuality represented by “Pretty in Pink.”
But the Barbie Dreamhouse yacht isn't the only vessel garnering attention recently.
In September, the company unveiled a 270-foot superyacht that's so green it runs on wind and solar power and has enough space for an onboard nightclub.
The yacht was designed by Feadship, a 74-year-old Netherlands-based yacht manufacturer.
The ship, named Dune, will run on wind and solar energy to reduce emissions and be climate friendly.
