7-Eleven Australia CEO and Managing Director Angus MacKay has received the 2024 NACS Convenience Industry Leader of the Year Award, Asia Pacific.
The award, sponsored by PepsiCo, will be presented at the Asia Convenience Retail Awards Ceremony at the NACS Convenience Summit Asia, to be held March 5-7 in Seoul, South Korea.
“Industry progress comes not only from innovative companies, but also from the energy, determination and inspiration of the individuals who lead them,” said Henry Armor, President and CEO of NACS. A values-based leader, McKay is respected for his commercial skills and steady focus on customer service and people management. He joined 7-Eleven Australia as his CEO in 2016 and became his Director Managing in 2020. He is responsible for leading the 7-Eleven team, driving business strategy and growing the 7-Eleven brand in Australia.
Prior to joining 7-Eleven Australia, Mr. McKay held leadership positions at The Skilled Group, Pacific National Rail, Asciano Limited and Fosters Group.
Mr. McKay holds a Bachelor of Economics and Accounting from the University of Sydney and a Business Management degree from the University of New South Wales.
