Brown took to his Instagram Story on Saturday (March 9) to share his thoughts on what he called “mainstream media” and “fake celebrities.”
“I don't want to be accepted by mainstream media or fake celebrities,” Brown wrote in all caps. “I'm the king of my own lane, your favorites aren't hooked on me, and they know it.”
“Fina is not tap dancing for approval, I know that, so please forgive me,” he added.
Brown's latest comments follow allegations he made at the NBA in February He accuses the league of rescinding his invitation to participate in the All-Star Celebrity Game.. According to Brown, the NBA rescinded the invitation due to concerns from sponsors. He named Raffles as one of its sponsors.
Brown told his side of the story and posted a photo of an email he allegedly received from the NBA.
The post read, “NBA All-Star 2024 Welcome x Chris Brown.” “We'd love to have you join us this weekend!” read the first email. The email requested Mr. Brown's photograph and biography, which was approved by the news organization. ”
“The NBA asked me to play in the All-Star Game this year! They just called me later and said they couldn't do it because of sponsors like RUFFLES,” Brown said. he wrote on his Instagram Story at the time. “At this point, I'm tired of people bothering me and I'm tired of living in the past.”
“I posted the email for everyone to see. The NBA was still trying to get me to come and sit courtside…not what happened,” Brown continued.
A day after Mr Brown posted the photo on his Instagram, Mr Raffles responded with a statement saying it had no involvement in who would take part in the Celebrity Game.
”[Ruffles] [five blue emoji caps] You must be trying to save face now! ” Brown wrote in another message. Don't try to make it look like I'm tripping. You guys and the NBA representatives know exactly what you guys are doing. ”
