A new poll finds a majority of voters in Michigan and Pennsylvania, two key battleground states that helped propel President Biden to victory in 2020, are dissatisfied with their choices this year. .
A CNN poll conducted by SSRS found that a majority of voters in two battleground states are not satisfied that Biden and former President Trump are the front-runners in this fall's election. Only 47% of voters in Pennsylvania and 46% in Michigan said they were satisfied.
The survey was conducted shortly after Biden and Trump finalized their respective parties' nominations and began the 2024 general election campaign, which is expected to be another close race between Biden and Trump.
The new poll also found that Trump and Biden are in a neck-to-neck race in Pennsylvania, with each receiving 46% support among registered voters.
Biden gained support among women, voters of color, college graduates and independent voters, but struggled with younger voters in Pennsylvania. CNN reported that he was “nearly even” with Trump among voters under 35.
Trump leads Michigan by 8 points. The former president secured 50% support, followed by Biden at 42%. Mr. Biden had weak support among voters of color and lagged behind Mr. Trump among independents and young voters in Michigan.

And while many voters say they have already made up their minds, a significant number of voters in each state say they are not so sure about who they support. In Michigan, 45% of independents are still undecided, and in Pennsylvania, 32% say the same.

The CNN poll was conducted March 13-18 among 1,097 voters in Michigan and 1,132 voters in Pennsylvania. Michigan's margin of error is 3.6 percentage points, and Pennsylvania's margin of error is 3.8 percentage points.
