SHAWNEE CO. (KSNT) – This week, election offices across the Sunflower State are certifying the results of the Presidential Preferred Primary (PPP).
Shawnee County held a canvass today. County commissioners certified the results and determined that more than 70 additional ballots would be counted. These are votes from people who went to the wrong polling station, gave the wrong address, or had discrepancies in their votes.
“It's required by law and that's the final word on the question mark,” Shawnee County Election Commissioner Andrew Howell said. “Then a final tally will be made and it will be official.”
Statewide results are sent to each state's political party. Political parties will use this information to determine who Kansas will support at this summer's national conventions.
Results for the 2024 Shawnee County Presidential Primary Election are below.
