Jason Momoa has been known for his ultra-ripped “Aquaman”-like physique for years, so ahead of his 40th birthday in 2019, he's sporting a slightly more toned look. Fans noticed this.
“That's okay,” the actor said, adding that “dad”'s comments didn't offend him “at all.”
Three years later, Momoa underwent hernia surgery and was unable to exercise.
“I'm not actually doing sit-ups,” he joked on “The Late Late Show” at the time. “I'm trying to keep that daddy body going a little longer.”

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' chances of winning the 2024 AFC Championship were largely overshadowed by what happened in the locker room after the game.
The NFL star was seen celebrating without a shirt on in the postgame video, with people commenting on his “dad figure.”
After the video went viral, the quarterback tweeted, “Why do they have to do that to me!?!?!? #DadBodSZN,” along with a crying-laughing emoji. “Like I have kids!!! @Chiefs @insidetheNFL @NFL.”
Mahomes didn't let go of that description after winning Super Bowl LVIII, joking about “DadBodSZN” again two months later.

The Chiefs tight end addressed his size on an episode of the “New Heights” podcast, comparing his weight to that of his younger brother, retired offensive lineman Jason Kelce.

Channing Tatum's acting career began as a stripper, later becoming the inspiration for the hit film series Magic Mike.
But don't expect him to return to the stage in such a capacity anytime soon.
When asked about joining the “Magic Mike Live” staff in 2019, he said, “I got a father! I got a kid, this is what it is.”
Tatum went on to explain that getting a stripper in shape is a “full-time job” and that adult entertainers are “like Olympic athletes.”

David Harbor became associated with the term “dad bod” in 2018 when Merriam-Webster tweeted a video of him dancing to “Stranger Things” as an example of the phrase.
“I think in a way, I've become a bit of a modern-day sex symbol. There's also articles about people digging Hopper,” the actor later told CNET Magazine. “But I'm also a little big and a little chubby. I love the idea of showing real bodies on TV. And I love the idea of making real people beautiful and loved.”
