Voters are scheduled to go to the polls in the state's presidential primary on Tuesday.
Voting took place Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., with Friday the last day of early voting in both Greene and Columbia counties.
The primaries are closed, and only registered Democrats and Republicans can vote in their respective primaries.
Incumbent President Joe Biden secured the Democratic nomination after Georgia's primary election earlier this month. Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee, having won more than the 1,968 delegates needed to win the nomination. Former President Donald Trump also passed the required 1,215 delegates earlier this month, making him the presumptive Republican nominee.
Both Biden and Trump are expected to accept their party's nominations at their respective national conventions this summer.
The Democratic National Convention will be held in Chicago from August 19th to 22nd, and the Republican National Convention will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from July 15th to July 18th.
Phillips withdrew from the race earlier this month, but Democrats Marianne Williamson and Dean Phillips will also be on the ballot Tuesday. Other Republican candidates who have dropped out of the race but will be on the ballot include Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy and Chris Christie.
Voters in the Democratic primary will also vote on who their districts will send as delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this summer. The Republican National Convention will be held in Milwaukee.
Catskill resident Michael Juby said he will most likely vote in the primary, but he doesn't know who will get his vote.
Fellow Catskill resident Jean Bouquet said she would vote for Trump.
In Columbia County, voters were unsure whether they would vote in the primary. On Friday, five people said they would wait to vote in the regular election.
“Is a presidential primary the same as an election?” asked Darren Farrell, a Germantown resident. “If not, then no. I'll vote in a real election.”
Voting on Tuesday will take place at county-designated polling locations.
Leading up to November's presidential election, elections will be held in all 50 states over several months to determine individual candidates for each party.
