Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has provided an update on a possible presidential run ahead of WWE's WrestleMania.
The actor and professional wrestler was asked on Fox News on Friday if he would one day run for president, and he answered, “No at this time.” “That's not my intention, Will. I'm not a politician and I don't care about politics. I care deeply about this country. I'm a patriot, and neither do you. I believe that and right now my desire and my priority is my baby.”
“I don't know if that's the right thing to do at this point in the spirit of bringing people together and uniting the country…I don't know,” Johnson said. “At this point.”

In November 2023, Johnson announced that he had been approached to run for the next presidential election.
Mr Johnson appeared on Trevor Noah's podcast and said: “There was an interesting poll that was done and I was really moved by it.” What now? “I was really surprised and really honored. I'll share a little bit of this with you. At the end of 2022, I got a visit from an official who asked me if I was going to run and if I was going to run. .I might be able to run.”
Mr Johnson said on the podcast that he had been told he had the potential to be a “real candidate” for president, but said it had “never” been his goal.
