The grand finale of Celebrity Big Brother was ruined by some fireworks injuries, it has been revealed.

Speaking to The Sun, an attendee named Anthony Osborne, who was outside Garden Studios (where the CBB grounds are located), came forward with a horrifying story from that night. Mr Osborne said he, his wife Claire and three others were forced to take cover after an unintentional firework ricocheted off a nearby warehouse, showering them with flaming debris.
“A firework exploded in my face right in my right eye,” he said. “I heard a thud and then all I could see was darkness. My eyes felt like they were on fire.”
Mr Osborne, who works in the hospitality industry in Kingston upon Thames, temporarily lost vision in his right eye and was rushed to hospital. His cornea was inflamed and required further testing.
“We were having such a great time, but it quickly turned into a nightmare,” he added, while his wife Claire continued, “I don't know how he didn't lose his eye. You never know.”

Following the close call, the couple claimed they had not received a formal apology from the show's producers.
A Celebrity Big Brother spokesperson said in a statement: “On-site production medics attended to a small number of spectators who reported minor injuries during the final live, which was equipped with controlled pyrotechnic effects by specialist suppliers.” .
