Several celebrity guests welcomed Saturday Night Live host Kristen Wiig to the Five-Timers Club this weekend for her opening monologue.
The “SNL” alum talked about the “special” opportunity of hosting the show for the fifth time before Paul Rudd interrupted her from the audience.
“You know, I also heard a rumor that you might be doing a Five Timers skit with some great celebrity cameos, so there's like a script or something that I could look into for that. ” asked Rudd.
“Oh, no, I'm sorry. I don't think we're doing anything like that,” Wiig replied.
“Oh, I understand,” Rudd said, quietly returning to his seat.
Wiig then took a question from former SNL writer Paula Pell, then spotted Matt Damon in the audience.
“Wait, Matt, why are you wearing a Five Timers jacket?” You've only hosted twice yet? ” Wiig asked.
“Yeah, but [‘SNL’ creator] loan [Michaels] “The first time I hosted it was so good I counted three, the second time it wasn't so good I only counted two, but by my count it was five, baby,” Damon said.
Former hosts Fred Armisen, Jon Hamm, Will Forte and Martin Short (who did not host the show five times) also appeared alongside Michaels wearing club jackets.
The former hosts then sang together before host Ryan Gosling, who will host next weekend's show, appeared wearing a jacket.
“Are you serious? I mean, I haven't hosted it three times yet. That seems unfair,” he asked Michaels.
