Voting for the general election began at 6 a.m. Wednesday, and celebrities are voting and proudly posting about it on social media.
However, many people are careful not to write or wear anything that could hint at any political leanings.
This year we are seeing some particularly highly rated posts. Some choose to only post black and white photos, while others, like Minji from New Jeans, use fictional characters or animals to indicate their votes instead of using their own photos.
Korea JoongAng Ilbo will be live as local stars post their votes online.
New Jeans' Minzy uploaded a story to the girl group's official Instagram account, showing that she had voted on Wednesday. Instead of a photo of herself, she chose a bear she drew herself holding a sign that read “Her Voting Complete.” It was reportedly the first time for the K-Pop star, who turned 19 this year, to vote.
