I'm a celebrity…get me out of here! Viewers have criticized the reality show for promoting an emotional discussion of Skye Wheatley's struggle with an eating disorder on social media.
On Tuesday night's episode, influencer and former older brother The star revealed to her co-stars that she previously struggled with bulimia.
“I struggled with an eating disorder when I was younger,” she said. “With all the pressure and having Instagram and being in the spotlight and all that, I felt like I had to look a certain way.
“I have really bad bulimia. I still suffer from chronic bulimia, but I've learned how to control it all along, so the symptoms have lessened. I used to have once a week, once a week. It was like eating as much food as I could eat would make me feel sick.”

Fans praised Sky's honesty and vulnerability, but took issue with the way Channel 10 promoted the moment on social media earlier in the day.
The show's official social media accounts posted a photo gallery on Tuesday afternoon teasing some of the episode's upcoming moments, including “Ellie's snake bite and rat bite,” “Callum learns to do laundry,” and “jungle fashion.” Shared.
One tile simply said “Skye's Eating Disorder – Tonight”, but many people said this should have been posted with a trigger warning.

“Anyone who decided it was a good idea to post tile #3 needs to reconsider,” one person wrote. “It's a very important but triggering topic that needs to be talked about, but shouldn't be used as a 'hook' in your ad. Channel 10 is really in bad taste. ”

Channel 10 has since removed the slide from social media and shared a quote tile of Skye, saying it would mean so much if Skye could be an “example for other girls” struggling with similar issues. Ta.
