In a new interview with essence In the magazine, the 45-year-old revealed the celebrities he looked up to when he was younger.
“My first celebrity crush was Chili,” Usher revealed on the 60 Seconds With series. “I think it was when I was 11 or 12.”
TLC Rozonda “Chili” Thomas And the “Confessions” singer started dating in 2001, when he was 23 and she was 30. Their high-profile romance lasted until 2004, when they broke up after getting engaged.

“I wanted to marry her,” he told the magazine. “I proposed, but she said no. After that, I suffered a lot because I couldn't trust women and didn't want to open up to them.” He said, “I hurt her too.” The situation, he admitted, “teared my heart out.”
Following his relationship with Chili, Usher was married to Tameka Foster from 2007 to 2009. The former couple have sons Asher 'Cinco' Raymond V, 16, and Navid, 15. Currently dating Matthew Lawrence.
During February, Usher married his longtime girlfriend Jennifer “Jen” Goicoechea The couple have two youngest children, Sovereign, 3, and Sire, 2, in a surprise wedding in Las Vegas after the Super Bowl halftime show.
