AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Project Cleanup is here again! This time we're working in the area north of Amarillo Boulevard near Palo Duro High School.
Fuller and Sons crews braved the rain and mud to carry out this cleanup.
Even with the rain and even colder temperatures, Fuller and Sons' crews were unable to complete their mission.
Let's get down to business. The crew had to deal with the bottom of his basketball goal being filled with water and sand rather than cement. The crew didn't realize it until they lifted it.
This time it was a big clean including everything except the kitchen sink! However, the bathroom sink was thrown away.
The area between 9th and 12th Streets on the northwest side was bequeathed with waste and items destined for the city's landfill. A side table, box spring, living room chair, and one damp mattress were among the items that were no longer of value to anyone.
So crews took advantage of the crowds at the downtown public library.
Thousands of pounds of trash will not disrupt the Buchanan, Hayes, Johnson, and Grant areas as much.
Do you know the saying, “One man's trash is another man's treasure”? Why not find a $10 bonus? That's all you need for a Happy Meal these days, so spend it wisely!
If you know of an area of the city that needs assistance from Fuller & Sons staff and a deep clean, please click here to designate that area.
Also, please note that the roll-off is for neighborhood use only and not for commercial use. Please respect that request.
There is no doubt that it will take all of us to keep Amarillo beautiful.
