MONROEVILLE, Pa. (KDKA) — Fans of Steel City Con flock together Friday to meet celebrities, shop for interesting art and vintage toys, and even cosplay as their favorite characters from TV, movies, and video games. , was doing all sorts of things.
People like Draco from Beaver County showed up dressed as Wolverine from the X-Men. He says he rarely misses Steel City Con.
“I've been coming to Steel City since 2014,” Draco said. “I love the competition and I love the atmosphere. I have a lot of friends here as well. It's always fun to spend time here.”
One of the others who came out Friday was Kevin from Cincinnati. He drove up wearing a Michael Myers mask just to meet legendary Halloween director John Carpenter.
Kevin said he was “very excited.” “He's someone I love and grew up watching. It's really great to meet someone who inspires you. I'm happy. This is like a checkmark on my bucket list. Thing.”

This is Rhys-Davies' first time attending Steel City Con and he said he loves meeting fans now. But he says that wasn't always the case.
