Q-CTRL, a pioneer in quantum infrastructure software bringing quantum technologies to practical use, has announced the appointment of Vince McBeth as lead business development defence and public sector.
In his new role, McBeth will oversee Q-CTRL's business development strategy in Washington DC and the UK as it deepens its engagement in the AUKUS trilateral security partnership in 2021. Q-CTRL's development of a new class of “software-defined” quantum sensors provides the opportunity for robust technology collaboration with key stakeholders.
Mr. McBeth has over 22 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, including serving as a White House Fellow to President George W. Bush, Executive Director to the Secretary of the Navy, and staff positions as Strategic Advisor to the Commanders at Sea and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Chief of Naval Operations. His expertise will be instrumental in the deployment of Q-CTRL's software-defined quantum sensors and in fostering technology collaboration within the U.S. and UK defense sectors.
“Having commanded warships in combat, I understand the critical role sensors play in all aspects of operations,” said McBeth. “The quantum era heralds an era of improved operational awareness and mission integrity, including precision navigation in GPS-denied environments, faster processing times to accelerate decision-making, and optimized sensing through noise reduction. Naval strategists have long theorized about the profound impact quantum sensors will have on the future of warfare, and that moment is fast approaching. I am proud to join Q-CTRL at the forefront of the quantum evolution.”
Prior to joining Q-CTRL, Mr. McBeth was a Managing Partner at Gartner Inc., where he led the firm's Department of Defense and Military Services IT Consulting practice. He was also founder and president of The McBeth Group International, an aerospace and defense technology firm whose primary mission was to help public and private sector leaders develop solutions, mobilize resources, and execute strategies to achieve specific business development objectives.
“We are excited to welcome McBeth to Q-CTRL,” said Aravind Ratnam, Q-CTRL's chief strategy officer. “His leadership and deep understanding of the challenges facing the United States and its allies will position Q-CTRL as a trusted technology partner to accelerate the adoption of our cutting-edge quantum computing and quantum sensing solutions to address the complex operational requirements of the future.”
This strategic hire underscores Q-CTRL's commitment to expanding its presence in the United States and the UK and supporting the 2021 AUKUS trilateral security partnership.
