Travis Kelce started a new job this offseason.
The Kansas City Chiefs star will host “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” His 20-episode spinoff of “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” will premiere on Amazon Prime. The official broadcast date has not been announced.
“I grew up loving game shows, so I'm excited to follow in the footsteps of so many television icons by hosting my first show on Are you Smarter than a Celebrity,” said Kelsey. he said in a news release Tuesday. “The original show has been a huge success, so bringing everyone's favorite celebrities to the screen and bringing a new format is definitely going to be interesting. I'm excited to be the host side of the equation here. I'm really excited and can't wait to see how these shows go.'' The famous faces will be catching up. ”

The original game show, which first aired in 2007 to 27 million viewers, has similar elements.
Instead of helping adult contestants, school-age children help celebrities answer 11 questions on a variety of topics. According to Prime, the celebrities will come from “stage, film, and sports,” all categories that apply to Kelce and his girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift.
The questions are taken from the elementary school curriculum. The final question is at a 6th grade level and is worth $100,000 in prize money, and contestants can choose one of their celebrities to help them before confirming their answer.
This isn't the first time Kelce has hosted the show, and it likely won't be the last.
He had his own reality show titled “Catching Kelce” aired on E! in 2016. channel. Kelsey also hosted “Saturday Night Live” in March 2023. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he signed with CAA as an off-field representative after appearing on SNL.
Barry Poznick, general manager of MGM Alternatives and co-creator of the series, said that with Kelsey, the “ultimate clown” hosting the show, viewers can expect some unexpected twists.
