One of the benefits of being wealthy is access to exclusive private clubs, some of which have annual dues of more than $300,000 and long waiting lists even for referrals from wealthy friends.
There doesn't seem to be a shortage of people interested, and club owners say they don't see demand slowing down anytime soon: A report from private club consulting firm GGA Partners found that 88% of members feel welcomed at private clubs because of the sociable atmosphere.
Here are seven exclusive clubs, secret societies and organizations only open to the super-rich.

Auction House
If you're a wealthy collector or investor, you might be invited to an auction house like Sotheby's or Christie's. The art auction market is typically geared towards the ultra-rich, with billions of dollars' worth of inventory sold every year.
Being invited to these exclusive auctions gives you access to investment opportunities that the general public never hears about. The wealthy spend their time at these auction houses, bidding on expensive works of art that most of us would never even dream of owning. For example, Leonardo da Vinci's painting “The Redeemer” sold for a record-breaking $450 million at one of these auctions.
Tanglin Club
The Tanglin Club was founded in 1865 and is one of Singapore's most exclusive groups. However, membership is difficult, with some stories of aspiring members having to wait as long as 15 years to join. To be considered for membership, you must be recommended and endorsed by two existing members.
The Tanglin Club has six restaurants and the typical amenities you'd expect from such a venue. With members from over 70 countries and affiliated with over 130 other private members' clubs, you'll join an exclusive group when you officially join.
Soho House
Soho House originally opened in London and has since expanded to many countries. This members-only club has been a place for creative people to work together since 1995.
It's like a co-working space for wealthy world travelers: you can work in the living room during the day and enjoy the amenities afterwards. Members have exclusive access to everything, including club spaces, bedrooms, spa, gym, screening rooms, and event spaces.
Membership options vary depending on the location you want access to. Those looking for really special access will try to get into the Little Beach House in Malibu, which can be difficult even for members.
Yellowstone Club
Located in Montana, the Yellowstone Club is touted on its official website as the world's only private ski, golf and adventure community. Set across more than 15,000 acres in rural Montana, the Club is also an ideal year-round vacation destination.
Membership in the club, which requires owning a home in the community, is a multi-million dollar venture. Membership is limited to 864 families and costs $300,000 to join. To maintain membership, members must pay annual dues of $37,500.
Dubai Art Club
The Arts Club was founded in 1863, and this location opened in 2020, but memberships quickly sold out. It's a space for the wealthy who enjoy art, literature, and science. The five-storey location is known for its beautiful interior design by Dimore Studio and the opportunity to mingle with other wealthy people with blue membership cards. It offers views of the skyline and the famous Burj Khalifa.
Members can also use meeting spaces to entertain clients and host weddings. There are different tiers of member shops depending on age and location.
39
This luxury wellness club in Monte Carlo, Monaco, is for those who want to focus on health and fitness. It was founded by former professional rugby player Ross Beattie as a place where people can reach their full potential. This members-only club also offers a fitness program that promises to get you in shape in just six weeks.
This exclusive club is designed to feel like an extension of home for elite athletes. It offers state-of-the-art equipment and a variety of options for relaxation and recovery for sports enthusiasts. Since so many people use the facility for their training and recovery needs, the gym has strict rules regarding social media posts about celebrities and famous athletes.
Club Silencio
Dubbed “Europe's most exclusive private club,” Paris' Silencio is located just steps from the Paris Stock Exchange. Designed by David Lynch, the club is an exclusive venue for artists, designers, writers, musicians, and actors, hosting special events. The space includes a photography gallery, an intimate cinema, a library, a stage, and two bars.
For exclusive membership, you must be recommended by a friend to qualify, and the club opens to the public after midnight if you're willing to wait in line due to limited entry.
