Employees of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s former employer reportedly plan to use an upcoming newspaper ad urging him to “drop out” of the presidential race.
CNN and other media outlets reported that staff at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where President Kennedy served as senior counsel for nearly 30 years, will place full-page ads in newspapers in six battleground states on Sunday.
The ad, previewed by the network, reads: As current and former leaders and directors of the NRDC Action Fund, and former colleagues of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., we have one message for him: Respect our planet and leave. . ”
The ad also calls Kennedy a “spoiler” candidate and argues that his candidacy will ultimately benefit Republican candidate Donald Trump.
“RFK Jr. is simply a vanity candidate, choosing to play spoiler in the election for the benefit of Donald Trump, the worst environmental president in our nation's history,” the ad reads.
