Türkiye Presidential Cycling Tour 2024 Stages
The eight-stage Tour begins with 135km of mainly flat ground around the city of Antalya, offering big sprinters a first chance before beginning their journey west along the coastline.
The second stage from Kemer to Kas is quite long at 190km, with some bumps near the start and a significant climb 60km from the finish, so we could see a more aggressive race.
The third stage, from the popular resort town of Fethiye to Marmaris, is very hilly, but perhaps not so hilly that it eliminates sprinters who have another day at the finish line.
The fourth stage has two classified climbs, including a second category climb after 94km that shakes things up, and it's likely a much smaller group will arrive in Bodrum to fight for the finish.
The fifth stage between Bodrum and Kusadasi is again bumpy, but the climbs are smaller, so the pendulum once again swings in favor of the faster riders, but especially if they cross the final peak with 30km left in the race, they will will have to make an effort.
The 6th stage is the queen stage that finishes at the summit of Mt. Manisa. This 20 km climb of his takes riders to over 1,000 meters in altitude and is crucial in determining the outcome of the general classification.
Stage 7 was run completely pan-flat to the line with just one small bump just before the halfway point, and the race ended with stage 8 in and around the bustling city of Istanbul.
