Legion Tradition returns to Greystone with top golfers and celebrities May 8-12

Birmingham's annual golf tradition is about to begin, with top golfers and notable celebrities soon flocking to Greystone's Founders Course.
The 2024 edition of Regions Tradition will be held May 8-12 at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Hoover.
Tournament festivities begin with the popular Celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday, May 8th, followed by the stars of the PGA Tour Champions competing for glory and major championships from May 9th to 12th.
All of the celebrities will be playing for multiple local causes, as the tournament will benefit Children of Alabama, Birdies for Charity, and the Mike Thrive Foundation.
This year's Pro-Am will feature some of Alabama's most popular musicians, as well as some of the biggest names in professional and college sports.
Alabama football's past and present will collide as Nick Saban and new football coach Karen DeBoer both play in the pro-am.
Auburn will be represented by Charles Barkley, in addition to current coaches Hugh Freeze and Bruce Pearl.
Other notable sports names include Georgia's Kirby Smart, UAB football coach Trent Dilfer, former Alabama stars Greg McElroy and Roman Harper, and SEC Network host Paul・Includes Finebaum, etc.
Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and US Senator Tommy Tuberville will be joined by two other prominent politicians.

When tournament play begins Thursday, Steve Stricker will aim to defend the trophy against another stacked field of PGA Tour Champions players.
Stricker shot 7-under on Sunday, breaking a tie with Robert Carlson for the start and setting a tradition record in 2023 with a score of 23-under-par, the lowest par score since the tournament moved to Birmingham in 2021. did. of the final round.
Stricker's win was his third Tradition title in four years, making him the second golfer to win the Tradition at least three times. If he wins at Greystone this year, he will tie Jack Nicklaus for the most wins at Tradition.
Stricker, who sits 11th in the Charles Schwab Cup standings heading into the Mitsubishi Electric Classic on April 26, will welcome the friendly confines of the Greystone Founders Course.
Stephen Alker currently ranks in the top three with an income of $717,040, followed by Paul Broadhurst and Ricardo Gonzalez.
