Usher's son, Navid, is old enough to understand shooting shots. The 15-year-old used her famous father's phone to slide into the DMs of her celebrity crush Pink Panther Res, asking her to follow him on Instagram. The 23-year-old viral pop singer, known for his hit song “The Boys A Liar,” surprisingly replied to Navid.
“Hahahahahaha,” she replied, “This is wild!”
The boy then told her he didn't expect her to reply and thanked her for liking his post.
How do we know about this exchange? Because the father of four posted it on Instagram with a screenshot.
At one point, the R&B king noticed that Navid was using his cell phone as he took over the conversation in his DMs. He apologized to Pink Panther Res and shared that his son is a “super fan.”
The pop singer said he was happy to interact and invited the father-son duo to his next show.
In a follow-up story, Usher shared an image of Navid and the Pink Panthers posing after their performance, adding, “Parent opinion.”
“This was a great moment for Navid…this was a moment where he was passionate about something,” the “Superstar” singer wrote on his Instagram Story.
“Yes…I would never trust him with a cell phone because he betrayed my trust in the process, but I should have known better,” he continued. “Still, I'm grateful to him for the effort and for making it happen. From the texts, to the concerts, to the artists. He led all of this and made it happen. #HustleHard.”
Asher and Navid seem to have learned a valuable and humorous lesson from the incident.
