Cold Feet actors Faye Ripley and Hermione Norris are among six TV co-stars announced for ITV's DNA Journey.
The heirloom show, which returns for a fifth series this year, also stars Ripley and Norris, as well as Life on Mars stars John Simm and Philip Glenister, and Ricky from The Royle Family. – The upcoming celebrity line-up has been confirmed, including Tomlinson and Sue Johnston.
Actors Sarah Parrish and James Nesbitt, who co-starred in Harlan Coben's Netflix drama Stay Close, are another pairing, while I'm A Celebrity 2023 winner Sam Thompson joins campmate Marvin Humes He is co-starring with Comedians Joe Brand and Julian Clary also team up in one of his six episodes.

“A duo of fresh-faced celebrities pursues where they came from and unravels the secrets of their past in an emotional, life-changing journey of discovery that takes us from Canada to London, France to Jamaica. “We set out to uncover the truth,” the synopsis reads.
DNA Journey works with genealogy research company Ancestry to piece together celebrities' past and present family trees.
Ancestry's Brad Argent said the show was “an honor to be a part of.” “Through solid research, world-class science, and a little bit of luck, we've discovered an incredible lineup of rich and diverse stories, all made relatable by a famous cast who bring themselves to every moment. ” he added.

Speaking about what viewers can expect from the fifth series, ITV commissioning editor Louise Major said: “This series is packed with life-changing revelations and delightful discoveries that are sure to touch everyone's heart. “I'm doing it,” he teased.

DNA Journey will air on ITV1 and ITVX this year. Seasons 1-4 are now streaming on ITVX.
