The ultimate fan experience returns to Philadelphia this weekend. Thousands of people flock to the convention center to rub shoulders with their favorite sci-fi celebrities.
Fan Expo Philadelphia, formerly known as Wizard World Philadelphia, opens Friday and runs through Sunday, featuring meet-and-greets, shopping, and lots of family-friendly fun.
Although the action will take place inside the convention center, Philadelphians should expect plenty of costumed attendees on the streets and sidewalks.
From appearances by stars like Hayden Christensen and Rainn Wilson to plenty of cosplay, here are some of the highlights that await fans (in costume).

Other celebrities will also appear at the expo and interact with fans, including “Star Wars” stars Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen and Gina Carano. The popular cast of “The Office” includes Oscar Nunes and Kate Flannery.

All cosplayers are encouraged to walk the cosplay red carpet and have their photo taken by a professional photographer.

Looking for art? Amateur and professional artists share their artwork of sculptures, jewelry, pins, buttons, and more.
You can also get comic books signed, meet comic book creators, and witness sketch showdowns between your favorite artists.
How to get tickets to Fan Expo Philadelphia
Day passes start at $48 per person and include show floor access, one-day admission to the panel room and theater.
Three-day passes start at $99 and include admission to the show floor for all three days of the event, plus access to a special preview on Fridays at 2 p.m.
Unfortunately, both the Ultimate Fan Package and VIP Package are listed as “sold out.”
