In a Supreme Court hearing considering former President Donald Trump's argument that presidential immunity protects him from prosecution for crimes he committed while in the White House, conservative justices all called them “originalists” and the new They argued that it does not allow them to find rights. What the conservative justices failed to acknowledge is that throughout American history, this has not been an issue. All but one of our presidents have abided by constitutional rules, and our country has prospered without suffering. The only president who has attempted to defy the constitutional order is a rogue named Trump.
It's ridiculous that members of the court's right-wing majority would want to give Trump a get-out-of-jail-free card, but perhaps we shouldn't be surprised, after all, this is the majority he created. unknown.
