“I used to want Henry Cavill. I think he's a really hot guy,” she said. “But when I met him, he was very awkward.”
Furthermore, she added: “I was like, 'That's weird. I should talk to him about Dungeons & Dragons. Maybe he'll be more comfortable.'”
The Girls' Trip star also wondered if he was being “awkward” because he was nervous around his girlfriend.
“Or maybe he's never had a black woman say to him, 'What's up? What's your credit score? Do you like spaghetti? I'll cook for you. Are you scared of South Central? Aren't you?' do not have.”
Despite this, she still praised his good looks, adding, “He's still beautiful.”
On the topic of romance and dating, Haddish also revealed that she has a new personal rule: All romances end after nine months.
Similarly, she said she is trying to slow down in her own career, look out for her own best interests, and take more time off.
“If I say I can’t do something, I can’t do it,” she said.
“I feel more comfortable saying that now,” she told the magazine.
“We can no longer bend over backwards,” added the night school graduate. “I'm not made for that.”
Haddish's last romantic relationship was with rapper Common, with whom she dated for a year before breaking up in November 2021.
Last year, she said she was focused on herself.
“I'm in a relationship,” she told People magazine at the season 2 premiere of her show Afterparty in June 2023.
She added that she goes on dates “sometimes” but that suitors have to “earn the privilege” of joining her at public events.
Previously, she was married twice to William Stewart, but they broke up for good in 2013.
Their first marriage lasted from 2008 to 2011. It's unclear when they remarried, but Haddish claims they divorced for the second time in 2013.
