The Met Gala is undoubtedly the biggest night on the fashion calendar, and you can expect there to be some rules to keep things running smoothly.
The annual event, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is overseen by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and typically draws around 600 celebrities.
This year's event will be co-hosted by: challengers Zendaya will co-star with Jennifer Lopez, Marvel's Chris Hemsworth and singer Bad Bunny.
Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chiu were also named honorary chairs.
All are scheduled to attend the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” themed celebration in New York City on Monday (May 6).
So how do Anna and Metropolitan Museum of Art curator Andrew Bolton manage to attract so many celebrities?

The first rule that guests must abide by is no smoking.
Second, I had to stay away from artworks and exhibits at all costs.
If a celebrity is caught participating in any of the activities, an invitation to the next Met Gala could disappear in the post.
Andrew opened up about regulations and said: “Smoking in the gallery. Touching the works. Those are prohibited.”

When asked about the smoking rules, the curator admitted that celebrities' faces have been caught lit up in toilets before.
Elsewhere in the interview, Anna revealed that there is no real way to find out if you are invited to a fashion event.
“Honestly, it depends on the year and the subject of the exhibition. There's really no clear answer to that.”
Interestingly, no smoking and not touching exhibits are not the only rules the duo enforces.
No selfies allowed
According to The Independent, Anna has banned celebrities from using mobile phones to take selfies or upload photos to social media.
But of course, this has been broken many times by celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Billie Eilish.
You must be over a certain age to participate
The 2018 event, themed 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination', introduced age restrictions.
A Met Gala spokesperson later said the event was “not appropriate” for anyone under 18.

There is a strict seating plan to adhere to
Met Gala planner Edie Keenan previously talked about the seating chart and revealed how strict it really is.
“Once we have the names in December, we'll start by creating a seating chart,” she told Vogue.
Sylvana Ward Durrett, Vogue's special projects director, said in a 2016 documentary: First Monday of May: “There's a lot of thought involved in who's sitting next to who, whether they've sat together in the last year, whether they've sat next to each other at other events, and it's shocking.”
And if you're thinking of attending the Met Gala with your spouse, partner, or significant other, you probably won't be spending much time with them.
Author Amy O'Dell has previously said that Anna believes networking with people she doesn't know “leads to better, more interesting parties.”
