A respected thought leader in biometric technology and known for his strategic vision and transformational leadership, Martis brings a wealth of expertise to this new role and is poised to begin the company's growth trajectory in both go-to-market and product strategy.
In his new role, Peter will be responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the company's market presence and enhancing its product offering, including leading the creation of innovative products, capabilities and processes that align with evolving market demands and trends, and driving expansion into new verticals and geographies to capture new opportunities.

Prior to joining ID R&D, Martis led global sales and product strategy at Innovatrix, where he was instrumental in developing products such as SmartFace and the Digital Onboarding Toolkit (DOT), which became known as eKYC technology during the pandemic.
Prior to joining Innovatrics, Martis helped pioneer the voice biometrics field in Central and Eastern Europe at Nuance Communications, where his efforts were pivotal in establishing a solid foundation for voice recognition technology across multiple markets. Martis began his career at Microsoft Corp., contributing to the Microsoft Office 95 team and gaining a strong technical background. This experience provided Martis with the essential skills and insights he would later need to innovate in more complex fields such as biometrics.
