A new program to help active military, veterans and their families start or grow their businesses has been announced by Fairleigh Dickinson University's New Jersey Small Business Development Center.
The program, called Veterans Launching Ventures, is provided free of charge and is sponsored by the TD Foundation and Wells Fargo and created in partnership with FDU and Stockton University.
Veterans Launching Ventures is comprised of four modules that offer both on-demand and live virtual training courses, professional consulting support, and workshops.
The first three modules consist of nine self-paced, on-demand classes. These classes will focus on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, idea generation, and feasibility testing. This module also features weekly live workshops and will be available starting Monday.
The fourth module is designed for those looking to start a business within the next six months. This consists of his 9-week business planning course, which provides access to resources and personalized consulting. The module will be available on Tuesday and will culminate in a business plan pitch competition on June 29th.
