Yum Brands announced Monday that it has appointed Juan Carlos “Carl” Loredo as president of Pizza Hut U.S. Mr. Loredo joins the company from Wendy's, where he served as chief marketing officer and global chief marketing officer since 2019.
Mr. Loredo will officially begin his new role at Pizza Hut on June 3, and will be responsible for driving performance across the brand's U.S. operations.
“Karl comes to Pizza Hut with a strong track record of positioning brands for success and delivering results in competitive markets. “We're skilled at helping people grow their presence in authentic ways,” Pizza Hut CEO Aaron Powell said in a statement. “The Pizza Hut team is excited to welcome Carl, who brings the passion and focus that will lead us into the next bright chapter for our brand.”
Loredo worked at Wendy's for a total of more than eight years. There, he played an integral role in creating and launching marketing and content campaigns, as well as growing the company's digital business.
