Citing a family emergency in Florida, third-party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. arrived four hours late at a campaign fundraiser in Nashville on Wednesday.
Kennedy's “Night of Comedy” featured comedians including former Saturday Night Live performers Rob Schneider, Jim Breuer, and Russell Brand.
Nicole Shanahan, a technology industry veteran and President Kennedy's running mate, took to the stage just before 11 p.m., followed by Mr. I spoke to the people (who had become). Mr. Kennedy did not address any campaign themes.
Kennedy is on the presidential election ballot in six states, but is not eligible to vote in Tennessee. The deadline to qualify for the November election is August 15th.
