The 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards could be mistaken for a fashion show.
On Thursday night, the country's biggest stars gathered in Frisco, Texas to celebrate the genre, and many brought their fashion masterpieces with them.
But unsurprisingly, there were some costumes that missed the mark.
Take a look at the best and worst of the night.
Miranda Lambert looked like country royalty in a floor-length black dress.
Her halter neck dress had a deep slit down the center of the bodice, and the skirt had a matching slit, giving the garment a bold edge.
But the gown looked equally glamorous and worthy of a country star, as it was also adorned with a silver collar and turquoise-encrusted belt.
Lambert completed her look with silver sandals, a matching clutch, and statement earrings.
Avril Lavigne's outfit was too casual for the awards ceremony.
She walked the ACM Awards carpet in a torn hoodie, distressed bell-bottom jeans with butterfly appliqués, and long, straight hair.
While the outfit was true to Lavigne's punk rock roots, it wasn't an appropriate choice for a country music awards ceremony. An edgier dress or a fun top paired with matching jeans would have been better.
The Brothers Osborne were one of the best-dressed musical duos on the red carpet.
TJ walked the carpet in a baby blue suit, red undershirt and pearl brooch, while John wore a paisley-print blouse under a burnt orange suede jacket. He also wore striped pants and a cowboy hat.
Their outfits worked side by side, but perfectly represented their respective styles.
There was little coordination between Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO.
The couple arrived in contrasting outfits, with Jellyroll consisting of black pants, matching T-shirts, and brown leather jackets. He accessorized with sneakers and a diamond cross chain.
Bunny XO, on the other hand, wore a blue satin dress embellished with light brown sparkles and a giant jeweled choker necklace.
Their costumes worked well individually, but the different pieces could have been combined better.
TikToker Markel Washington wore one of the best outfits of the night.
He wore patchwork jeans, a white collared shirt, and a denim jacket made from multiple Levi's pants.
The influencer also wore a black cowboy hat and bolo tie. The outfits were unique and in keeping with the theme and really stood out on the ACM Awards carpet.
Kane Brown played it too safe with his outfit.
He arrived at the event wearing a white pinstripe blazer, no shirt underneath, a diamond cross necklace, and simple black pants.
The musician looked sharp in the photo, but unfortunately missed the opportunity for a bigger fashion moment. He could have shined brighter with better-tailored pants or more diamond jewelry.
It was hard to miss Laney Wilson She wore a red outfit while walking the carpet at the event.
She wore a tall red cowboy hat and her trademark bell-bottom pants in the same shade, but her blazer stole the show.
Wilson created a bold, fashion-forward style moment by wearing a sharp jacket without a shirt underneath. This piece also sparkled in the light thanks to its dazzling lapels.
She completed her outfit with Kendra Scott yellow rose jewelry.
Kelsea Ballerini's dress was too modest.
The country musician looks amazing in everything she wears, including the golden dress she wore to the ACM Awards. The halter-neck Simkhai dress was made of satin and hugged her body closely, extending out into a long train.
However, while the backless design was impressive from the back, it didn't have the same effect when viewed from the front.
Its bright color blended so much with Ballerini's skin tone that the top needed a little more fabric for a snug fit.
Tierra Kennedy proved that blue is her color.
Rather than wearing an actual dress at the ACM Awards, Kennedy Mac Dougall's jumpsuit creates an optical illusion.
Her costume was made of bright blue fabric, decorated with pleats and held up by thin straps at the top.
The musician, who worked with Beyoncé earlier this year, completed the outfit with natural curls and glowing eye makeup.
Rayna Roberts' bold outfit required just one adjustment.
The country musician arrived wearing a crystal-embellished black corset, sparkling cowgirl boots, and a matching hat.
She looked stunning in the outfit and her bright red hair complemented the bold outfit.
However, the huge neon orange piece of fabric attached to her waist was a distraction from the look – the same ornamentation in a different colour, such as crimson, could have been very different.
