Emily Ratajkowski led the horrified reaction from celebrities on Friday to newly unearthed footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016, branding Diddy a “monster.”
Footage obtained by CNN shows Diddy (real name Sean Combs), shirtless and with a towel wrapped around his waist, chasing Cassie down the hall at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City.
As she tried to get into the elevator, the man grabbed her by the back of the head and slammed her to the ground.
He then kicked her as she lay motionless on the floor and grabbed her two designer bags as she tried to run away. Didi stands over her and kicks her again, grabbing her hoodie and dragging her back to her room.
After the video was posted on X (formerly Twitter) this Friday, Ratajkowski, 32, shared a stunned reaction in the comments section, simply writing, “Monster.”
Aubrey O'Day, who once worked with Diddy but has been fiercely critical of him for years after he fired her from his singing group Danity Kane in 2008, told X: wrote. I can imagine it. '
She added: “Victims of abuse or those who easily provoke abuse may not want to see (the footage is disturbing).” #Kathy #Diddy #KimPorter. Prayers for all of his victims. ”
Diddy's rival 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) sarcastically tweeted: “I'm sure Puffy didn't do it, he's innocent, this proves nothing!” . His lawyer would say, God help us all. ”
Jackson also reposted Diddy's defiant statement from December denying various sexual misconduct accusations.
“Nasty allegations have been made against me by people looking for a quick paycheck,” Didi said in a statement. “Let me be clear: I have not done anything as terrible as is being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and my truth.”
Reflecting on Diddy's words this week after the hotel video was unearthed, Jackson wrote: “A lie detector test revealed this was a lie…” Molly vibes. ”
Kathy's husband Alex Fine, whom she married in 2019, posted a heartfelt “Letter to Women and Children,” which he revealed he wrote “a while ago.”
His long message included the maxim, “A man who hits a woman is not a man.” The men who enable that and protect those people are not men. ”
Fine also encouraged her followers to “treat the women in your life with the utmost respect,” adding: “Men who hurt women hate women.”
His message to abusers was, “It's over, you're no longer safe, you're no longer protected.”The men beside you are just as weak, you are so miserable with yourself. [death] That would be considered kind. ”
“Throw Diddy in jail,” Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy wrote. “Throw away the key. To anyone who had this video and kept their mouth shut, throw away the key. I mean, you holy asshole.”
Deal Or No Deal alum Claudia Jordan writes: “And some people were still really defending this guy, claiming that Kathy was just 'money hungry.' This happened when she tried to walk away from him. ”
She continued with further exasperation: She said, “For the woman to be believed, she would need 50 to 11 witnesses, medical records, and surveillance footage, but we still have a huge responsibility for putting ourselves in this situation.'' SMH!!!!”
Claudia added: “Didi, if this was your attitude towards someone you 'loved', I can only imagine the horror your enemies/opponents were in.” We pray for all the victims of Sean Combe…dead and living. ”
She also advised her followers, “Also, stop making excuses for people you love just because they're rich or famous!!” People always call women who tell the truth about these monsters money grabbers, question their motives, and never question the motives of their alleged abusers! ”
She continued, “It's so hard to get sympathy and support from the world when abusers are even remotely successful and it's disgusting!!” Yes, moguls, singers, rappers, actors, martial artists, podcasters, athletes, Super Bowl winners, politicians, comedians, presidents, and local DJs can all be vicious abusers, and sometimes they are. It is!”
Former ESPN broadcaster Jemele Hill wrote in X that “so many people doubted Kathy's story because it took incredible courage for her to come forward.” God bless that woman. She prays that good things happen to her. Didi is a POS.
The disturbing footage was taken at Century City's InterContinental Hotel in March 2016, two days before the pair appeared hand in hand on the red carpet at the premiere of The Perfect Match.
“The heartbreaking video only further confirms Mr. Combs' disturbing and predatory behavior,” Kathy's attorney Douglas Wigdor said in a statement to DailyMail.com today. .
“Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura showed by coming forward and bringing this issue to light.”
Kathy sued Combs last year, accusing him of rape and various other crimes. They settled in November for an undisclosed amount.
“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably, provided that I have some control,” Kathy said in a statement at the time.
“I would like to thank my family, fans, and attorneys for their unwavering support.”
Diddy's lawyer said in his own statement at the time that the settlement of his case was in no way an admission of guilt.
'Mr. Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” said his attorney Ben Brafman.
“For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been threatened by Mr. Ventura to write a damaging book about their relationship and has received persistent demands for $30 million, which he has clearly rejected as blatant blackmail. Ta.”
“Despite retracting his initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit filled with baseless and outrageous lies to damage Ms. Combs' reputation and seek her paycheck.”
The two met in 2006 when she was 19 and he was 37, and dated from 2007 to 2018.
In her lawsuit, Cathy recalled an incident similar to the one captured on security cameras at a Los Angeles hotel.
“In approximately March, Mr. Combs, who was working as a deputy manager at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, became extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, blackening her eye,” the complaint alleges.
“After he fell asleep, Ms. Ventura attempted to leave the hotel room, but as she exited the room Ms. Combs woke up and began screaming at Ms. Ventura. I followed her down the hallway.
“He grabbed her, took a glass vase from the hallway and threw it at her, causing it to shatter around her as she ran to the elevator.”
Cassie said in her complaint that she was eventually able to escape Diddy and return to her apartment, but decided to return to her hotel out of fear of the rapper.
“Ms. Ventura realized that by running away she would further anger Mr. Combs and completely trap him in a cycle of abuse, so she returned to the hotel intending to apologize for running away from her abuser.” She said the complaint had been resolved.
“When she returned, hotel security staff asked her to get back in the taxi and go to her apartment, where they watched security footage showing Mr. Combs punching Mr. Ventura and throwing a glass at him in the hotel hallway. He suggested that it may have been.
According to the legal complaint, Combs paid InterContinental Century City $50,000 for hallway security footage showing the alleged assault.

Combs' sons, Justin 'King' Combs and Christian 'King' Combs, were handcuffed during the raid at their father's residence in Los Angeles.

Another woman who accused Mr. Combs claimed that she was raped by the rap producer 20 years ago when she was 17 years old.
Mr. Combs and his attorney deny all the allegations in the lawsuit.
