A Woodland small business owner faces significant financial loss and damage to his store after being robbed Thursday morning. Corey Taylor said a burglar broke the window of Soul Garden Holistic Healing store around 2 a.m. and stole more than $10,000 worth of crystals and stones. “I feel like they were very ruthless and very careful in a way, because the items they took were large,” Taylor said. The break-in caused her significant financial loss and damage to her store. “I don't understand why this would hurt small businesses like this when it's already difficult for everyone who owns a small business,” Taylor said. Taylor opened her store on Main Street in Downtown Woodland about a year ago and is now taking additional steps to protect her business. “We're going to have more cameras, we're going to have more lighting. We've also thought about security,” Taylor said. Woodland Police told KCRA 3 they are investigating and working to collect surveillance video of the robbery from nearby businesses. No questionable information has been made public. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact them at 530-661-7800. See more top California news stories | Download the app.
