Sorry, wallflower. This week's Best Dressed stars wore bold statement looks designed to stand out. This week between the annual Cannes Film Festival and various Hollywood premieres was jam-packed with star power. And celebs have stepped out in A-list dressing in literally sparkling ensembles. Crystals and sequins had a big presence in step-and-repeat. It brought out bright colors.
Glitz and glamor were rampant at Cannes, with many opting for modern dresses over traditional ball gowns. Anya Taylor-Joy wore a bright white Jacquemus dress with floral embroidery and a giant sun hat. Meanwhile, Naomi Campbell made headlines when she reprized the Chanel haute couture black sequined dress that first appeared on the runway in 1996. And let's not forget French singer Isour, who completed Dior's new look in black and the label's signature cinched white jacket. A-line skirt.
There were plenty of great fashion moments outside of the film festival, too. In New York City, Rihanna wore a bright red Comme des Her Garçons look, emblazoned with slogans and logos. (Only Lili can pull this off.) On Instagram, Beyoncé debuted a custom Lapointe look. Her dress featured a halter neckline and cutouts, and she accessorized with a bolo tie and a western cowboy hat. (She's in her country days, after all. She's dazzling!)
