Majority of business leaders consider ransomware to be top concern as demand increases and cyber insurance adoption accelerates

Business Email Compromise (BEC) is currently the top attack method: Last year, almost three-quarters (70%) of organizations were targeted by a BEC attack attempt, and nearly one-third (29%) of these targets were the victim of one or more successful BEC attacks.

Successful data exfiltration dominates rampant ransomware attacks: Almost half (45%) of respondents said their organization experienced a ransomware attack in the past 12 months, an increase from last year, and the majority (86%) of those attacks involved data Contains successful theft.

Violation disclosure regulations force transparency: Two-thirds (66%) of organizations that suffered a data breach last year chose to publicly disclose information about the incident, while one-third (30%) only disclosed information to affected parties. Disclosed a breach.
