david allen
Allen, a renowned academic leader, preaching coach, speaker and author, announced on February 29 that he will be nominated by the Rev. Danny Forshee of Texas, pastor of Great Hills Baptist Church in Austin. did. After serving in various leadership roles for more than a decade at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Allen currently leads the Adrian Rogers Center for Biblical Preaching at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis. bruce frank
Frank announced his plans on April 2, with an endorsement from the Rev. John Mark Harrison of Tennessee, pastor of First Baptist Concord in Knoxville. Frank is the pastor of the Biltmore Baptist Church in Asheville, North Carolina. He led the SBC's Initial Sexual Abuse Task Force in a recent independent investigation into the Executive Committee's handling of historical sexual abuse allegations. Read Frank's Q&A here.
mike careborn
Keyborn announced his plans on January 30 to be nominated by Victor Chayasilisoborn, pastor of First Southern Baptist Church of Anaheim and director of missions for the Southern Baptist Convention of Orange County. Mr. Keyborn is an FBC pastor in Lawton, Oklahoma, and has served as a member of the SBC Executive Committee since 2021 and serves as vice chair of the SBC Abuse Reform Implementation Task Force. Jared Moore
Moore announced on February 28 that he will be nominated by Oklahoma pastor and senator Dusty Devers. Moore is the pastor of Homestead Baptist Church in Crossville, Tennessee. He served as SBC's second vice president in 2014. Read Moore's Q&A here.
clint presley
Presley announced on January 22 that he will be nominated by Chris Justice, senior pastor of Lee Park Baptist Church in Monroe, North Carolina. Presley is a pastor at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte. Presley In 2013 he served as vice president of the SBC Pastors Conference. In 2014-2015, he also served as First Vice Chairman of the SBC. In 2015, he served on the board of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (including a period in which he served as board chair). Dan Spencer
Spencer announced on April 17 that he would be nominated by Chris Kendall, pastor of Oak City Baptist Church in Seymour, Tennessee. Spencer is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Sevierville. He preached at his 2001 SBC Pastors Conference and in 2005 he served on the SBC Committee. From 2009 to 2011 he served as president of the Georgia Baptist Convention.
