St. Helena, California, May 22, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Duckhorn Portfolios (NYSE: NAPA) (the “Company”) today announced the appointment of Dave Berwick to the Company's board of directors, effective May 21, 2024. Mr. Berwick has more than 30 years of experience in the beverage industry and most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Boston Beer Company (NYSE: SAM), a leading beverage alcohol company. Mr. Berwick will serve as Chair of the Company's Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and as a member of the Company's Audit Committee.

Mr. Berwick served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Boston Beer Company from 2018 until his retirement in 2024. Prior to joining Boston Beer, he served as President and CEO of Peet's Coffee & Tea Company for six years. Previously, he served as North American President of WW International and held various senior management roles at PepsiCo Inc. for 20 years. Mr. Berwick earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Middlebury College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the board of directors of Deckers Outdoor Corporation.
