A Boise business bouncer has been found guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon enhancement. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
BOISE, ID — Anthony Perazzo, 52, was sentenced Tuesday for stabbing a man at a Boise business in August 2023, according to the Ada County Prosecutor's Office (ACPO).
Ada County District Judge Jonathan Medema sentenced Perazzo to up to 30 years in prison. He must serve 15 years before becoming eligible for parole.
In August 2023, Boise Police responded to a stabbing in the 600 block of South Vista Avenue in Boise Bench just before 3 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, a customer of the store, suffering from life-threatening stab wounds and transported him to the hospital. During that time, investigators were able to identify Perazzo as a suspect.
ACPO said Perazzo was working as a bouncer at the establishment when he instigated a fight with a customer and “stabbed him multiple times in the abdomen before fleeing the scene.” Prosecutors said the entire attack was captured on video surveillance.
Police said the man was found shortly after the incident and booked into the Ada County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault.
Perazzo was convicted by a jury of an aggravated felony for using a deadly weapon during the crime.
Boise did not identify the victim, but said he survived the stabbing.
“We appreciate the jury's time and attention to this case, the Boise Police Department's commitment to this investigation, and the judge's sentencing decision that will ensure the safety of our community,” Ada County Attorney Jan Bennett said in a statement. .
