The Driggs Mortgage Team recognized Friar Tuck's Barbershop as their “Small Business of the Month” for May.
Friar Tuck Barber Shop, owned and operated by Kylie Howell, opened in Helper in 2021. Since then, Howell has definitely left his mark on the local community. Friars Tuck's popularity grew, and word of their “hot towel” status soon spread throughout the Carbon County corridor. Howell prides itself on providing an open and comfortable atmosphere to all of its customers.
We were joined at the end of 2023 by Kayleigh Muhly and together we have made a considerable contribution to community service. Before Muley joined Howell at Friar Tuck's, the two were participating in community events hosted by the Helper Clinic, which provides free haircuts to those in need. The two stood for hours giving haircut after haircut as people lining the streets in need of a good haircut.
Starting in January of this year, the Driggs Mortgage team launched “Small Business of the Month” as a way to recognize local businesses in Carbon County. Mr. Driggs wanted to support local businesses in Carbon County that demonstrate excellent customer service, community service and a commitment to becoming more involved in the local community.
Once a business is selected, Driggs will provide business owners and attendees with a complimentary lunch, Driggs swag and advertising. Driggs has made several announcements on local radio stations and social media pages. We will provide tables, chairs, food, media coverage, and more. The only requirement for business owners is to simply show up and enjoy lunch. Becky Driggs created delicious Cuban sandwiches for the event.
