The kids are fine.
Graduation season is upon us, as your favorite stars celebrate their children successfully completing certain school years. From kindergarten and nursery school graduates to college graduates, the kids you remember from when they were babies are growing up fast.
Among them is Karma Bridges, the daughter of rapper Ludacris, who graduated summa cum laude from Spelman College on May 19. She earned a bachelor's degree in documentary filmmaking and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
“I want to create films and video content that help shape and change the social and political landscape!,” she said in a statement to her father's Ludacris Foundation. “I want to tell meaningful and thought-provoking stories. I have always been drawn to storytelling because it has the power to heal, inspire, educate, create empathy and ultimately create positive change in the world.”
She continued, “As a young Black woman, I feel an indescribable joy when I come across movies and television shows that authentically and inclusively represent individuals like me. I believe exposure to diverse stories allows people to connect on a deeper level, shatter stereotypes, and deepen our understanding of each other's lives. As I move into the next phase of my life, I hope to make a difference in my community by telling unique, authentic stories that resonate with me and will one day inspire those who follow in my footsteps.”
The future looks bright for this beauty, and so does the youngster on the ever-growing list of celebrity kids recruits.
