If you're lucky enough to live in one of the most battleground states in the presidential election, you're likely to see a lot of ads.
With just over five months until Election Day and about three and a half months until early voting begins, the rush to vote has just begun.
The election is most hotly contested in seven states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Don't just take our word for it: Look at how the campaigns have behaved since March 6, the day after Super Tuesday, the unofficial start of this year's general election.
A total of $72.1 million was spent on advertising. Ad spending — across TV, radio, satellite and digital — increased 4.5% year over year during the presidential election, according to an NPR analysis of data from AdImpact, which tracks ad spending.
About 70% of that is spent in seven major states. In particular, Pennsylvania spent $21.2 million on the program, meaning that nearly three out of every ten dollars was spent on the program. One state.
Clearly, the campaign sees the Keystone State as the keystone of this election.
Democrats are outspending Republicans by more than two to one. — $49.2 million to $22.1 million.
Let's look at state spending. In every state, President Biden and his allies are outspending former President Donald Trump and his supporters. In some states, Trump isn't even on TV. Jeez.

Most aired ads in the campaign So far, this is a pro-Biden campaign to protect Obamacare. It's been conducted 7,700 times in 17 days in all seven states.
This is quite a shift, considering that Obamacare was the reason Democrats suffered a “massive defeat” (to borrow former President Barack Obama's words) in the 2010 midterm elections.
But it also reflects a shift in public opinion. In January 2014, the ACA's popularity hit an all-time low, with 53% disapproving of the bill and 37% approving, according to a KFF tracking poll. But as of April, 62% approved of the law, the highest it's ever been.
MAGA Inc.'s most-placed ads While it has focused on immigration, its most prolific articles over the past week have focused on the economy (and made unsubstantiated claims about Biden's mental competency).
On these issues, abortion has historically been the focus of the most spending. Total number of ads: Approximately $19 million was spent on abortion messaging, with 50 ads produced.
The next item on the list (some ads may reference multiple items) is:
- Immigrants: $8.7 million
- Crime: $8.4 million
- Economy: $6.8 million
- Inflation: $5.4 million
- Obamacare/Affordable Care Act: $5.2 million
- Employment: $1.8 million
