Robin: Hey Endigo. Thank you so much for joining us! We last talked about Drag Con UK on our TikTok channel. Did you enjoy Drag Con? What were your highlights?
Endigo: Hello! Thank you so much for inviting me here. I had so much fun meeting you and going to DragCon UK this year. It was my first time there! As always, the highlight was meeting all of you lovely people who came to talk to me! And of course, it was awesome to premiere my new single “All Star” on the main stage. The drag world needs more metal!
I saw you Drag Racing Sweden What prompted you to audition for the show last year?
To be honest, having watched Drag Race for over 10 years, auditioning was a no-brainer for me. I started emailing production companies as soon as the announcement came out, before the official casting even began.
What was your best moment while performing on Drag Race?
The most obvious one is showcasing my talent. It's commonly known as my guitar solo. Everything I do today, from my return to Sweden last November to signing with my current management and my newly relaunched solo metal career, I owe it all to those 10 seconds I spent playing guitar on stage. And some moments that Imaa and I had together.
All the queens already knew each other, but I knew Imaa before the show, and it was just amazing to have her there. We're still close friends and she sleeps on my couch or floor about one night a week.
Now, speaking of guitar speed, you are of course well known as a musician and singer, but what inspired you to become a musician?
Music has been in my life since before anything else. Probably my biggest inspiration is my dad, who has been in bands since the 80s. There has never been a time in my life when I didn't want to be a rock star, and that feeling hasn't changed to this day.
Recently posted a track Final Fantasy VII Rebirththat's amazing! How did that happen?
That was certainly the case! Final Fantasy VII It's no exaggeration to say it's a childhood dream come true, and I've already lent my voice to several games. Tekken 7,Recent Tekken 8to more obscure games Deathbirth: Let it DieTokyo is a huge city, but the music industry is incredibly tight-knit, especially the video game music industry. Aside from games, there's a lot of voice acting and music work for anime and TV commercials in Tokyo, so word got around, and one day I got an offer, and now I'm here!
You have a very extensive list of games you've featured so far, is there one in particular you'd like to sing about?
If you asked me this a year ago, I would have answered Final Fantasy VII To be honest, in the future I Alan Wake III future. Alan Wake II is already one of my all-time favorite games, and as a musician, well… I can say without spoiling anything about the game, those who know, know!
You've lived in Tokyo for a while and your music and look are very Japanese and anime influenced, was it always a goal to move to Japan or was it just a happy coincidence?
Technically I've been living in Sweden since November, but I basically see this as a long-term business trip, with the intention of moving back to Tokyo permanently in a few years. As a kid, I always dreamed of Japan – you know, total nerd. And when I got there for the first time in 2016 on tour with my previous band, that was basically the end of it. I had to move to Japan. And so I did.
What console/platform do you play on and what games are you currently playing?
